I figure it's 8 weeks of football to watch until the NFL starts up again.
Of course if you dont have a team in your city it's not something you'd pay attention to.
The Houston Roughnecks are 3-0 so I have a reason to watch. It's not bad football when you have nothing else.

I had $50 on Houston -3.5, my first ever XFL bet was a winner. The talent and the play is surprisingly good, and they have some plays the NFL should adopt, such as the option for a 1, 2 or 3 pt. conversion, and I like their kickoffs more. Houston has some great WR's, and two of the smallest RB's I've ever seen, the white kid (Borgio) is like a smaller McCaffrey.

Also, this league is not the one sponsored by the NFL, that one doesn't start until April.

Low scoring games but great play calling & execution , lotsa exposure for former NFL players and washouts

I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of play myself.
I'm still up in the air as far as the NFL adopting some of the XFL's rules though.
I'm just happy it's worth watching.

Man, there are some ballers in this league! Sure, some of the circus catches are the result of bad coverage, but many of these happen under tight coverage. Going for it on a 4th (fake punt) and 21 and scoring a TD on it are part of the appeal. A 6'5" TE on. lowly Orlando just went the distance, and he has a couple seasons with the Texans unber his belt. Many played in the NFL briefly.

Most of these guys played at Div. I schools or smaller ones like North Dakota St.

I have only watched parts of a few games

But the product is every bit as good as the NFL

I'd say not quite up to the NFL standards but well worth watching.
There's a shit load of ex NFL players that didnt make the cuts some of which are pretty damn good.
Hopefully in their case they'll get that call from an NFL team for another try.

Not a large fan turnout but fun game to watch. I hope the XFL and USFL are able to stick it out and become permanent.
Take them any day of the year over the corrupt nfl cartel.i always thought I would get excited about the nfl again once the rams came back to LA but the nfl is far more currupt now than it was back then before they left LA fir stank Louis.
