This man did not use a gun to commit a crime....in fact, he did not have a gun with him at the time of his arrest. What did he have....Glock pistol magazines that hold more than 10 bullets. For this crime he is looking at 7 years in prison. He is not a felon, he has no criminal record, he served his country in the military.....
Again....he did not use a gun to commit rape, robbery or murder.....but because the magazine he had...locked in a box in his car were able to hold more than 10 bullets...he is now facing a felony conviction, huge costs for lawyers....the loss of his job, the possible loss of his home, the loss of his freedom for 7 years, and the loss of fundamental Rights including the right to keep and bear arms.
Is this what you wanted when you pushed to get this law passed? Because that is what you are getting.
Notice......when the anti gunners pushed this law, they pulled the typical bait and switch. They told the uninformed that they wanted to ban magazines for Assault Rifles........because they are evil.....
What was did this guy have.....pistol magazines....because the anti-gunners said they wanted to ban rifle magazines and switched the definitions...so that you, the uninformed didn't realize that they also would ban most types of pistol that take magazines.....
The anti-gunners lied to you to push this law.....and they are scooping up normal people...to punish them for owning guns.
Notice: They didn't make the law so that using a magazine holding more than 10 rounds in a crime was against the law......Why is that? That seems to me to be the actual solution...you punish the guy using the tool to commit the crime. The reason is this.....they want to get those magazines....and before, the only way to do that is if a criminal broke the law...then they could scoop up whatever magazines he had. The problem...there are millions of these magazines in private hands.....and those normal people, they don't use those magazines in their guns to commit crimes...so the anti-gunners can't get their hands on the magazines.....
The solution...you ban mere possession..and you make the punishment draconian......and then you use these people....as examples.....

Niagara Falls man convicted on weapons charges - The Buffalo News
A Niagara County Court jury convicted a Niagara Falls man Friday on three counts of possessing high-capacity ammunition magazines, which were found in his car during a traffic stop.
Simeon D. Mokhiber, 41, of Willow Avenue, was arrested April 18, 2016, in North Tonawanda, where police said they found the Glock magazines after pulling him over for driving while intoxicated and speeding.
The jury acquitted Mokhiber on the DWI charge, defense attorney James M. Ostrowski said. But the weapons charges each carry a potential seven-year prison sentence when Mokhiber returns before Judge Matthew J. Murphy III in about two months.
The anti-gunners have detroyed the life of this man..........for having a piece of equipment...that he didn't use in any crime....
