Easy.....if the cops are taking that long to respond to calls....and you are facing a rapist, a robber, someone beating you or stabbing you......this is why you should own and carry a gun....to stop them...then, when the police arrive, they are just doing paperwork and taking the perp away to the jail, the hospital or the morgue...

If the cops are nothing but note takers and transport, they don't need guns.

That's what many of us have been predicting. Treat cops badly for doing their jobs and they will simply stop doing their jobs. It's easy to come up with excuses for not responding promptly to dangerous situations. Get a call for a robbery with the suspects there now; oops got to ticket that speeder first.

It doesn’t help that funding for law enforcement was cut in 2021 to the tune of $15 million.

Not only do the police have no obligation to protect you, not only do you have no right to expect them to protect you even if you call and even if they come, in the end, even for those police who really do want to protect you, they just can't do it.

When seconds count, the police are 2 hours and 17 minutes down the hallway.

Remember, those who want to keep their guns, every compromise, every "reasonable gun control" measure, is one more step to becoming completely unarmed and completely without defense in the face of a violent criminal. When this happens, even those in the UK where the police are unarmed will have better protection of life than will you. At least in the UK they have police. Fight every compromise, every gun control measure. There is no such thing as a reasonable gun control measure.

Better start training on kitchen knife skills, baseball bat skills, ratchet wrench fighting skills, and any other around-the-house kind of tool that you might need to use for defense against a fully armed and determined violent criminal.

Everybody needs guns. And there are plenty of cases where the cops come to do the paperwork and are attacked. Everyone, you, me, cops, firemen, pizza delivery, joggers, everyone, should be carrying a gun.
