They are trying to force the public to install heat pumps but are unwilling to do it themselves! Now that's what I call real hypocrisy.

Ed Miliband is the only Cabinet minister to own up to having a heat pump at his home.
The Government has been accused of hypocrisy for pushing the net zero technology, despite ministers being unwilling to adopt it themselves.

The Energy Secretary, who was first asked about the addition of a heat pump at his house before the general election last summer, confirmed the installation had now been completed.

However, none of the other 21 Cabinet ministers approached by The Telegraph, including the prime minister, would confirm if they had one of the devices or were planning to install one.

I did an extension just over a year ago and the gas and electric supply had to be moved around to the new location. I was talking to the gas engineer. One installs the meter and the other moves the supply.

The guy doing the supply had to go to a farm to shut off the gas because the farmer proudly went green. After a handful of weeks, he had to go back to reinstate the gas supply. Apparently green is not reliable, and if things go down, it just takes too long to boot back up. So the farmer is back on gas and just tries to get the most out of the expensive renewables.
