Wild fires, hurricanes, and now hailstorms. The cost of hailstorms has exceeded that of hurricanes in the US in some years, and some areas either have to pay very high premiums, or simply cannot get home insurance after repeated hits.

The more claims in a certain area (no matter what for) the more the deductibles go up in that area.

Pretty simple stuff.

BTW...."So and So said", is not proof of anything. That's why I won't use Daily Mail as a source.

Some years back I read insurance costs in Florida were bad. But that's as if they weren't bad enough all over. I guess that makes Florida's cost absolutely horrible if reports are true.

Ayup. Just got new roof ad a nice premium increase this summer.

After/During? man-made flu launch, into Obiden 2.0, I got a letter from home insurance raising UP 45% from previous year.

Why? The cost of rebuilding materials has sky-rocketed. Hello Obiden 2.0 war on energy inflation.

Everything does not have to have a reason that involves a dem grift stream.

Most of the world recognizes the threat of global warming and what is needed to combat it. The Democratic Party has little influence on that conclusion

Only Republicans and Big Oil think otherwise

All the roofing hail scam companies helped that happen by convincing homeowners and insurance companies the entire roof was shot because of a couple stupid dents in a few shingles. Unless the shingles are pierced, they still do their job.
Some companies got caught putting dents in the roof when inspecting, then telling owners there was damage.
We had minor pea sized hail, and no short of ten different companies came to my door trying to drum up business.
There was zero damage, but several neighbors got new roofs even though they were fine.
The one sales guy tried telling me our roof was damaged looking from ground level.

I laughed at him and told him the only one replacing the roof will be me. You can't fool someone in the trades.

Last year the insurance company sent out notification that roof coverage is now drastically changed and old roofs will now be prorated on age for partial payments on claims.

The days of free roofs for any excuse is over, and that has screwed the people who have real damage that really does need replacement.

Not really because much of the world is controlled by countries that could care less. China and Russia come to mind.

The rest are either a bunch of slack-jawed faggots or those who what to make money off of unfounded fears.

Africa, as a whole, is too busy being Africa to care so that sorta narrows it down.

Huh, I always thought roofs were pro-rated....That's why I always kept the receipts for a roof replacement when I had one done.

Then again I never had a roof claim.

Most of the affected areas oppose restrictions on Global Warming

California opposes restrictions on Global Warming ... HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW ... I don't believe you ...

Insurance companies are publickly traded ... that means their financial statements are a matter of public record ... everybody in the world can look up how much profit they're making ...

The cost of "shared risk" will first depend on the risk ... not the insurance ... it costs more to repair damaged buildings ... some common building materials have seen a ten-fold cost increase since August 29th, 2005 ... specifically drywall ... so of course the cost of insurance will go up ...

Republicans don't want tax dollars used, and Democrats won't relent on habitability requirements ... if we can't compromise, then we don't deserve democracy ...

Roofers pull that shit down here in Florida year round.

When insurance providers cease to cover roofs that have been damaged by wind or storms, the expense of that $25,000 roof could decrease to $10,000 or even lower.I am able to personally finance a $10,000 roof once or twice.I am acquainted with a roofer who refuses to undertake a project unless it is covered by insurance. His initial inquiry is, "Will this be an insurance claim?"

What about jobs that are just replacing an old roof?
