Another failed attempt.
Good thing it wasn't manned. Ka-BOOM!

Actually, it was a test to destruction. They are intentionally weakening parts of the spacecraft to see where they can cut weight.

So the goal was a successful flight, and return, but the expected result is what happened.

I figure the next two flights will end in similar manner.

Lefties cheering for our space program to fail. All because TDS and EDS.

How many rockets did NASA explode ? How many Astronauts did they kill ? You loons are pissy because a private company is doing space better than your beloved bloated, government bureaucracy.

Not “our space program”

Elmo’s
The upper rockets worked great. Only the 1st stage booster had a problem after if landed on the drone ship.

So they intentionally created a potential hazard to air traffic?
It has not been confirmed where exactly the vehicle exploded during today’s mission. But the explosion was visible from parts of Florida and occurred over the Caribbean, according to reports from residents of those locations shared with CNN.
The Federal Aviation Administration halted flights into Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, and Orlando airports for “falling space debris” until 8 p.m. ET.
The FAA also kept flights from departing from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and Miami International Airport. Flights leaving those airports are still delayed on average by 30 and 45 minutes, respectively.

A fitting metaphor for Trump and Musk’s failing ‘administration.’

No, there is no hazard to air traffic, nor is there a hazard to satellites. They have a clear section for the ship to disintegrate.

Pretty. Much like what Elmo’s doing to our government

Lol.

Just a minor problem. The whole thing didn’t blow up… just a big part of it… again
The NASA derived and NASA built Space Launch System with the Orion Space Capsule will accrue to over 80 billion dollars of costs including infrastructure in a couple of years. They built a gantry and then have to build a new one for the longer 2nd stage after the first couple of launches. The costs were supposed to e 200 million dollars. It is now nearing two billion dollars alone. Starship costs so far has cost between 5 and 6 billion dollars from what I have read. Get it. There is no way we will return to the moon for longevity with the Space Launch System. It is too expensive to use. One launch a year if we are lucky. The first4 launches are over 4 billion dollars apiece and they expect the cost for launch to go to 2 billion dollars. Meanwhile China is being methodical in its approach.
