I'll just skip whatever gator just posted and get straight to the facts.

This was a static fire test of the Starship, which is intended to be the vehicle by which Elon gets people to Mars. Starship is experimental, therefore, experiments are rife with successes and failures. Failures enhance the experiment to show what the failure occurred and what can be improved in that area.

On the other hand, the Falcon 9 rocket has a nearly unblemished launch-to-failure record. Of 503 launches in its history, only three have failed. That's a 99.4% success rate.

So save me the spiel. It's not going to work.

Imagine being an astronaut after the Challenger disaster.

You would feel like giving up after that, wouldn't you? The difference here would be that they have faith in the technology, they know improvements will be made, and their safety would be prioritized.

That is why the Starship is still just an experiment.

Elon and SpaceX have already rescued astronauts from orbit, and you didn't even cheer that. Look at you and gator, dry humping each other over these failures.
