Another company fleeing a blue state

Yeah, that was so long ago that I can't recall the zone names. Maybe Chaz and Chop? Did they lock rednecks out?

It was almost as long ago as when Trump slept with Stormy.

Except it was actually 14 years later.

Consistency is the hobgoblin of integrity.

Or in your case I should say imp.

Yep…I said a year or so ago that I expect Texas to turn blue within the next 1-2 election cycles.

Yeah they've been saying that for the last several election cycles.

Beto O'Rourke's deceased political career is proof positive otherwise.

We will take your big business. Keep your sorry asses, fitting symbol of the DNC, in California.

Oh by the way... Alabama sucks dont come here.

How do you feel a state?

HOUSTON — Another major corporation is moving its headquarters to Texas.

On Friday morning, Chevron announced they are relocating their company’s headquarters from San Ramon, Calif. to Houston.

The company said in a release that Chevron Chairman and CEO, Mike Wirth, and Vice Chairman, Mark Nelson, will move to Houston before the end of 2024 to co-locate with other senior leaders. They hope the move will allow them to collaborate better and engage with executives, employees, and business partners.

While senior leadership is heading to the Lone Star State, those working in San Ramon should see minimal impacts, the company said. The company expects all corporate functions to migrate to Houston over the next five years.

“It's an exciting day to be a Houstonian. Certainly, an exciting day to be the mayor of Houston,” Houston Mayor John Whitmire said during a press conference Friday morning.

Whitmire said he spoke with Chevron’s leadership Friday morning.

“He told me they did that after considering all the options leaving California, San Ramon, that we will soon see a transition where they will take their entire, entire corporate headquarters to downtown Houston,” the mayor said. “Let me repeat that. Downtown Houston.”

Chevron said it currently has roughly 7,000 employees in the Houston area and approximately 2,000 employees in San Ramon. The company operates crude oil fields, technical facilities, and two refineries and supplies more than 1,800 retail stations in California.

Nothing authoritarian about that in the land of the free. When I lived in Fairfield my next door neighbor worked for Chevron in San Ramon. So adding 2k new libs should help us turn Texas blue again.

Yeah, people who work in an industry you commiecrat have sworn to destroy, so I think you're full of it.
