A couple of weeks ago an Air Traffic Controller fell asleep at the switch at Reagan Airport and now it seems an ATC was asleep yesterday at the Reno Airport when a Medical Emergency aircraft was trying to land with a patient. The knee jerk mostly liberal media calls it a crisis in staffing. I say it's a crisis in management. What should we do? Hire a second ATC so that one of them can sleep through the shift? What does it take to get federal employees to do the job we pay them to do?
