Another assessment if I may; if the West ever has to fight in a World War III the presence of Trump as president will ensure enlistment increases

This has been clear in my opinion for some time. He openly speaks about civil liberties, the reforming of expansive government and a resistance to a war-first mentality. With him showing courage and defiance to fight for his citizens and his nations institutions, men who would be most willing to fight for America most naturally gravitate to him and have faith in him. This is very rare for a Western leader.

I listen to every persuasion, European and Asian media, the far-left, the conspiracy guys (within reason, they have to at least be intellectual with their arguments), the anti-Trumps, the pro-Trumps, the Independents. Some of it elicits a laugh, others earn my disdain. I do my best to sift through the haystack to determine truth from fiction.

Regardless, one truth about Trump that may end up being critical to the world if it hits the fan is that American men, dare I say, Western men from the UK, Canada, Australia etc. Will stand up and fight in a war if needed because they trust Trump to NOT just get into any war for a frivolous reason. Men are more willing to sacrifice if they believe their leader has their back.

My suspicion is that an attack on Japan, Taiwan, S Korea, Israel, the UK and other Five Eye nations would probably be the breaking point for Trumps willingness to fight. Not just for his legacy but for Americas security and future but I just postulate.

In my lifetime I'm not even sure that Reagan would have garnered the same broad appeal from his citizens if a war was deemed necessary. Him surviving the assassination attack and the loud cheers he received at the UFC just reinforce this truth. Let's hope it's not necessary but at least if the Axis decides to start this world war, there will be far more willing to fight than if another president were in office.

Agree or not?

You should put up a poll.

Naw just free winging it is fine.
In answer to your question though, I would expect the Trump supporters to enlist just to "honor" him as they attempted to do at the Capitol on January 6th, you know loyalty, fidelity, fealty & such.

In 'The Art of War' Sun Tzu states

"The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting."
And when that doesn't work

"Old men declare war. But it is the youth that must fight and die."
(This statement is attributed to Herbert Hoover, the 31st President of the United States.)

trump will be good for enlistments for the traditional reasons :

the military will be one of the few steady jobs with family health care available daring the depression.
