Animal friendships

Yeah, once your eyes have been opened to this truth, you begin to understand why God refers to it as "this present evil world '

You'll appreciate this. I was mowing out back when I came across this at 7:30 in the morning. I didn't understand deer behavior. At first I thought it was dead because it didn't move at all! Then I could see it was watching me, but still didn't move even after I touched him to see if he was warm. I thought it was injured. It was 7:30 am Friday and the Humane Society wasn't open yet. So I called a friend who has a farming background and is working to become a vet. She said watch it but leave it alone and don't start to worry until the end of the day.
She was right. At 11:00 am, mom came by, and the faun got up and they both left. I left a large bowl of pumpkin seeds nearby for the mom.

Awwww. What a beautiful baby 😍

I'm so glad the mama came back later. And I'm sure they were happy about the pumpkin seeds!

I don't live in a place where there are deer nearby, but my sister does. In fact, they just moved to a beautiful woodsy area and I was there recently seeing their new house... and when we were out on the deck, I saw a deer nearby, and she was just staring at us... didn't even seem afraid, but friendly... and curious about the new people in the house, lol.

Thanks for sharing that pic. I'm glad the little fawn is safe. 🙂

A Silverback family showing more class than most humans. They are amazingly gentle peaceful and kind creatures as long as you respect them

^ That was so sweet, I loved that little chirp of gratitude before he flew off. 🥰 Thanks for sharing it.

A baby chimp was born at the Sedgwick County Zoo and needed oxygen for a few days. Here’s a clip of the baby being reintroduced to its mother for the first time.

(wait for it....)

ALL mothers feel this towards their children (except some humans), including cows

Yep. Speaking of cows....that reminds me of this story. I might have posted this before... but I'll post it anyway for anyone who hasn't seen it. This story shows how mother cows miss their babies and cry out for them (sometimes for weeks) when they're separated.

It's 10 minutes long but watch til the end, it's worth watching.

Kind of a long one, but is there any animal more cute than an otter?

Maybe the most athletic of all the aquatic creatures.

That was SO truly sweet and precious! 😍 Thank you for sharing it, I absolutely loved that story.

I think it goes to show that all animals are individual souls and can bond with humans, not just dogs and cats.

Odanny, I hope you don't mind me saying this but I think you might be a vegan at heart. 😊 :thup:

ETA: and yes, otters are definitely so flippin cute!

The hooved creatures are in a class of their own when it comes to PURE affection! See if the below vids don't give U a chuckle;

The does are much more clever than given credit for. As seen below this Matriarch herd doe "BAITED" the home owner with the "I would like to meet U" gimmick. She's got the gimmick down pat, right down to parading her fawns around for the home owner to easily view. Then she ditches her fawns & takes up the "I want to meet U" position on the front porch. The home owner falls hook, line & sinker for the gimmick. The doe lets the home owner juuuust barely touch her rump but she plays the "I am timed" routine like if she is not sure if the home owner has good intentions towards her. She KNOWS the home owner will give her food in an attempt to win her over, which predictably the home owner does. Then from the right the hidden "infantry" swarms in for the feed! It's called THE SETUP!!!"

Bonus(cute)! The ole SNORT & DROP!!! The does can drop a fawn much faster than any bullet ever could!!!

I have played "TAG" with deer(they always win!) but I had no idea until fairly recently that there were deer that wanted to join in with people dancing;

Hooved creatures, to know em is to luv em!
