The Obama doctrine in Syria does not seem to be working. The country has fallen apart. Matters have gone from bad to worse. The secretary of state suggests that things are so bad Barack Obama has asked for &#8220;options.&#8221; Three years into the war and the president wants a plan.

In all probability, Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian dictator, is not cowed by Obama threatening options. He continues to bomb his own people &#8212; barrel bombs, cluster bombs &#8212; and starve recalcitrant cities and regions into submission. The death toll has been hideous and Obama would like to do something about it, but he cannot until the options are drawn up, which they have not been. So the people must starve until, possibly, a caravan of options arrives.

The red line, subsequent back down in what appears to be an agreement to allow increased Russian and Iranian presence. Obama had to pay a price for the Putin bailout. It was of no consequence to Obama the increased flow of Iranian arms to Hezbollah as well.

It seems to me that the skirmishes all over the world, which Obama seems to lose or concede, are going to be the wars that his successor will have to fight.

I will pick just one example of this man's incompetency in the office he holds.

He has said just as forcibly as Bush, and pretty much everyone, else that the damn Iranians must not have nuclear weapons.

But, does anybody believe him? Does any body actually believe Obama's policies are going to prevent these Ayatollahs from getting ahold of the means of blowing up Israel and any other Infidels that get in their way?

I wish someone would take the time to go back and read some of the Obama sycophant's posts, right here on this board, back when the New York Times was crowing about how: Obama has made Syria give up its weapons of mass destruction.

This is Jimmy Carter all over again....but worse. Carter was just a fool. This one we've got now is a fool and a liar.

Obama declared that Assad must go. Now he is negotiating with him and guaranteeing his future in power. Obama declared a red line if Assad used WMD. Then he declared someone else must have said that. Obama was silent in the face of student protests in Iran. Obama was silent in the face of the Arab Spring. Obama supported toppling US ally Mubarak. Then he supported Morsi. Then he supported toppling Morsi. Obama issued statement on the Ukraine. No one knows what the hell he meant. No one much cares either.
Obama supported a surge to win the war in Afghanistan. Now he supports withdrawing from Afghanistan, even though the surge accomplished nothing.
No one knows what Obama's policies are. They change by the hour, in response to polls and press. He has lost credibility in the world.
