An old (5 years) remake of the War of the Worlds by BBC

Just started it, in series format. Pretty good relief from Tom Cruise saving the world in his platform shoes. Emphasis on story line that follows the book pretty good, but the special effects aren't bad either. Brits have more story buildup and less drama, so far so good. I'm seeing it on youtube.

It was OK the first two seasons but sorta fell apart after that.
