This is historic, and is more evidence of how disgusted most Americans have been with the Biden/Harris administration flooding the country with the third-world.
I would love to hear a Democrat's honest rationale behind supporting free housing, free healthcare, free stipends for these people, while many American CITIZENS go without.

Donald J. Trump’s biggest gains were along the Texas border, a Democratic stronghold where most voters are Hispanic. He won 12 of the region’s 14 counties, up from five in 2016.

Nowhere in the United States have historically Democratic counties shifted so far and so fast in the direction of former President Donald J. Trump as they have in the Texas communities along the Rio Grande, where Hispanic residents make up an overwhelming majority.

In recent elections, the region’s mix of sprawling urban centers and rural ranch lands that had been reliable Democratic strongholds for generations were beginning to turn red.

Then on Tuesday, Mr. Trump brought South Texas and the border region firmly into his column, taking 12 of the 14 counties along the border with Mexico, and making significant inroads even in El Paso, the border’s biggest city. In 2016, Mr. Trump carried only five of the counties.

I am an independent so I can not give you any rationalization for any of that. But I will say it should have been spent on the American homeless and vets

Vets yes, homeless no. Most homeless are just drug addicts. The dems love drug addiction and homelessness because it means dependency. And dependency means more democrat votes.

On "The View" there was a county 90% Hispanic that went 75% for Trump, the View ladies couldn't explain it, then the token Republican gal said "its on the border". Democrats just don't get how much voters hate open borders.

I warned liberals about importing voters. Mexicans are big on family and don't like abortions.

There is nothing wrong with attempting to get someone off drugs and make them a tax paying member of society. Some might not make it but some will. We would need less homeless shelters. We would need less soup kitchens.
In a way it would help pay for itself.
Of course not all homeless are drug addicts. There are vets that are bothered by ptsd. There are those that can not afford rent because of inflation. Should they be forgotten because we want to lump every homeless person into the drug addiction category?

I said vets notwithstanding.
Most homeless are drug addicts. Don’t give them a dime. Put the money into mental health facilities and force them from the streets into rehab in those mental health facilities.
Period.

I am sorry but I believe in free will and a free America. I know that some believe in herding people into cattle cars or camps is a good thing but I do not.
I still feel sympathy for my fellow man and if they have problems I want to help.
I do not feel that I am the one to judge anyone. I have made my share of mistakes in my life.

I agree. Homelessness is a state and local issue, not federal. I don't want my federal tax dollars wasted on trying to "fix" a problem that blue states and cities actively encourage and reward.

This isn’t about judgment. It’s about facing reality.
Facilities exist that can be and should be used to rehab drug addicts.
Drug addiction is the antithesis of free will.
Enticing, enabling and encouraging drug addiction for the sake of votes is psychopathic.

And Ted Cruz won almost all Texas counties against Allred who significantly outspent him thanks to billionaire donors trying to take Cruz out. Crus almost got half the women's vote and got 52% at least of the Latino vote. The Democrat controlled MSM are downplaying that as 'difficulty of a Dem winning in a red state." I say baloney. Cruz won because people voted for policy over personality, for common sense over the destructive policies the Democrats are trying to sell.

Yeah, except for this greasy mother ******. 26 federal indictments for bribery and theft, and that's from the stuttering ****'s DoJ.

How did cuellar get re-elected? Are they voting at gunpoint down there in the valley?

Expedite this incarceration and we'll take that seat.

You do not seem to realize that this is a democratic society. We are not a totalitarian one.
You should understand one thing about addiction whether it is drugs gambling or any other. It will do nothing if you do not want the help to kick the addiction.
But hey see how many get excited with your idea of forcing people to do what you want. I do not think you will find many

There is nothing totalitarian about arresting people for vagrancy and public intoxication. Taxpayers earn the right to not be intruded upon by these drug addicts.
So, instead of incarceration, put them in rehab where they can clean up and become contributors instead of parasites.

Once again anyone that understands addiction knows that unless the addict wants to stop rehab does nothing. So you want to force someone into rehab when it will do nothing but waste money. How very UnAmerican of you.

Just more evidence of the monumental stupidity of the public.

How so?
What’s more, addiction is not like a virus that is airborne. It requires behavioral choices. Excusing it as a communicable disease only enables more addiction.
Because those kinds of things in other states are prosecuted. They go to jail. In jail they have a choice to get clean or go back to their addiction when they get out.
I realize that some states want to allow the police and courts to just push them out the door but not all states do that
