Because of their socialist economic system. Because it is easy to get welfare and not work...more and more young people are not working...and are not generating the taxes needed to support the welfare state..in particular the retirement care of those already retired.....they need workers at the low end of the system to do those jobs Swedes won't do anymore and pay the taxes to support the system......

So they have to import foreign workers who may still have a work ethic...this is the miracle of socialism....
