You mean the "holiday" that nobody took advantage of? It ran from September 2020 to December 31 2020 and anyone who took advantage of it would have their Social Security deductions doubled in 2021 until the difference was made up. Short-term emergency money, no long term effect at all since the money would only be delayed in getting into the system for three months. Trump wasn't taking a dime out of the system, just delaying payments for ninety days.

Absolutely true and great points. In addition to seniors, anyone who has paid into SSI will lose that money. It was basically sold to the Americans as a "savings plan for retirement" and then shifted to "More money will be needed for most to retire, but SSI will still help significantly". So currently, the Dems falsely promote "Medicare for All" which means you cannot look at the facts whatsoever in order to believe the government could even begin to tax high enough to fund it. There is no funding for "Medicare for All" as Medicare/Medicaid have struggled to stay ahead of monthly payouts for years, with many an economist predicting imminent bankruptcy for years now. So the question is: how can LESS tax payers (less workers due to millions choosing not to work and expect govt aide) pay a lot MORE for increased socialist programs? They cannot. The true motto, if they were honest, is "Medicaid for All". A huge distinction, yet they count on a large portion of Americans to remain ignorant and actually believe that battle cry. From the get-go, it should have been "Medicaid for All"...but of course that might have put a damper on things and they knew it.
