I think what he is trying to escape is the 4000% increase in gender confusion occurring in youth across the country ever since the gender cult had started to be preached in public schools. What are you trying to "escape"? Homosexuals are less than 3% of the population, and transgenders are a less than 1%.
If you have to leave an entire country to escape something which is a statistical anomaly, then that shows you just spend way too much time thinking about it.
Right, Russia is ranked close to China in terms of rights and freedoms:

Id never let politics influence where i want to live. Its about climate and i need a longer cder winter to feel good as i age. What i love is there is very little i dustry here and a restaurant just shut its doors, thankfully. Its quiet and peaceful.I live in a deep blue state that might be a little less 'woke' than some but definitely is 'woke' so far as the Democrat mentality is concerned. The districting lines have been drawn to ensure the Democrats will remain in power here and will have Democrat representation in Washington in perpetuity.
I have gay friends and family but only one or two who are in our faces about all that and those mostly stay away from us.
For the most part among the folks I associate with here in real life, on Facebook, etc. I am blessedly not required to deal with, talk about, recognize, or allow any sociopolitical ideology of any kind if I don't want to deal with that. Folks who find their kids exposed to it in school mostly homeschool here and their kids are doing just fine with plenty of opportunity to socialize at Church and in other activities.
I can't imagine giving up all the liberty and opportunity the USA still offers here despite a Democrat Party that would largely like to take all that away. I can't imagine not being able to find an American community in which you can live your life and values without a lot of hassle from people who don't share those values.
Crazies gotta crazy, but Russia seems to be a bad place to do it.And then there is this story.

It seems her neighbors were suffering from black fatigue and weren’t interested in putting up with her entitled shit.

A Texan father who moved his family to Russia to escape “woke” America has been sent to the front line.
Derek Huffman, 46, relocated to the small town of Istra, around 25 miles from Moscow, with his wife, their three daughters and their husky earlier this year.
They did this through Russia’s “shared values” visa scheme, aimed at attracting foreigners who reject what Vladimir Putin calls “destructive neoliberal ideology”.
“The final straw was when we found out my daughter Sophia learnt about lesbians from a girl in her class. She didn’t fully understand it, but for us, that was enough to realise something had to change,” Mr Huffman told Russia Today.
A trip to Moscow in May 2023 convinced the family that Russia offered the traditional values they desired.
“The city was cleaner, safer, and more orderly than we ever imagined. Most importantly, we found a place that respected our values – where we finally felt at home,” Mr Huffman continued.
Unfortunately for the father, he has been dragged into the Ukranian war. I feel for that family as I do for all families in the US that are trying to escape the gender cult and sexual revolution cult of the DNC. I'm not sure if he could have found a more conservative state in the US than Texas, but even there they have no ability to escape it because it is so pervasive.
I mean, where in the world can you go these days to escape it?
Yeah... You like a society where paying off porn stars for sex is frowned upon....but somehow--bizarrely--you have no qualms voting for someone who did just that and is almost certainly on Epstein's list.I would think that homeschooling would be better than the sociopath Putin.
But Ok.
However, there is still the general society where they have all been conditioned to accept any and all sexual deviancy as normal, and somehow find friends and a mate amongst them.
You haven't substantiated that transgender ideology has a significant presence in public schools. Public schools are funded by both Republicans and Democrats. Most children who attend public schools don't end up identifying as transgender. I'm not sure where you got the 4000% statistic either.
Basically, you're fearmongering over a fringe minority which you probably give too much attention to in the media. Just like the fellow mentioned in the OP.
The Russians do not have the safety nets we have. We are a much richer nation. The fuse is shorter. You still have to deal with WOKE in America. There's an election next year. The pendulum swings both ways.
I think this is a great story. I wish there were more of them. Conservative Americans moving to Russia and getting sent to the front lines. Love it!!! Now I know how you guys feel when that WNBA woman was in Russian jail.
Sillyboo, you have not read the article, have you? The guy volunteered for the Russian army. The guy was sent to near the front line as a welder and not as a storm trooper in direct combat. You still have to deal with WOKE in America. There's an election next year. The pendulum swings both ways.

We don't have as many safety nets today as we did yesterday. We're turning into Russia. The Russians do not have the safety nets we have. We are a much richer nation. The fuse is shorter.
