There is the opinion of the experts
That's the problem. They're experts in matters over their heads, not of their concern.
If a lawyer is or is not in good standing with that bar association, or if there are complaints by clients or fellow lawyers outstanding, whether they were resolved satisfactoily or not, that's all a "bar association" as such is really qualified to offer as an opinion, inasmuch as the "bar association" is permitted to exist as an independent organization, rather than a closed-shop labor union, not to infringe on the rights of politically dissident lawyers.
- The court needs to take back the bar out of the hands of the various "bar associations."
- The Constitution refers to Judges, not
justices. We need judges. We don't need "justices of the peace" sitting on the bench of the highest court in the land to revoke gun rights, adjudicate divorce cases, advocate "men's rights" or justify or permit abortions under such and such circumstances.
Buttering the judge's butt straight out of the bar association is not only unseemly and unethical, but evidence of serious fraternization at an organization purporting to qualify and disqualify lawyers.
