Abdulrahman al-Awlaki wasn't a terrorist. But it's just disgusting to see the right-wing try to use that as as an attack against anyone because it's not like the right-wing ever cared about him. Case in point: dogmatic Republican rednecks took up arms against the US Federal government to protect a rich criminal from justice, but never to see justice for Abdulrahman al-Awlaki.

Bundy owes grazing fees to the federal govt, he is delinquent on paying them, he is in violation of the law.

the feds should have put leins on his property, cattle, vehicles, and everything else he owns until he pays what he owes. There was no need to make this a big armed conflict. Does anyone wonder why the obama administration didn't just file leins?

I'm a little murky on those details, but how was it an 'armed conflict'? Weren't they trying to evict cattle off of Federal property? Were they actually on Bundy's ranch and trying to arrest him? I have read that he was above the limit of cattle allowed to graze, by the hundreds.

Bundy lost in court twice and then he appealed and the judge authorized the federal government to impound the cattle. Bundy was given 30 days to remove his cattle from federal land and he didn't. When the BLM came and began removing the cattle Bundy declared a "Range War" against the BLM on the family website. Bundy's range war threats are what started the escalating armament of both sides.

I agree. That guy is a criminal. I just don't get what has happened to the Republicans. Everybody they support seems to be some kind of dirtbag. This one is even a welfare queen and they still support him. What happened to no free lunch?
