⁜→ et al,

Most contemporary news is not objective. It is usually written for a targeted audience and features polarized popular opinions. While it should not be a matter up for debate more and more journalists are revisiting the role they should have.

Questions about the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict that the major news outlets made a mess of:
✦ Who initiated 7 October conflict?
✦ How long has the Islamic Resistance (HAMAS) been in the process of planning and preparing for that attack?
✦ Is the Islamic Resistance (HAMAS) a designated terrorist activity by most countries in North America and Europe?
✦ Did the Islamic Resistance (HAMAS) take hostages, kill unarmed civilians, or violate an established international boundary/demarcation?
✦ Comparatively speaking, what would be the response if Mexico had done the same thing to America?

Somehow, the picture of the conflict has been reversed. Israel is painted as the aggressor and the Islamic Resistance (HAMAS) is colored as the victim. Is that an objective view? When examining the (so-called) news many pro-Palestinian clippings that permeate this thread, take it with a grain of salt. Ask the had questions and come to a conclusion that is not a mindless mimic that the journalist is trying to manipulate the audience with. Don't fall into that trap as so many blind protestors have done.

(PREFACE)

This is another abuse of the truth and objectivity of events that took place over a century ago.

The conflict was initiated on or about 1917 when Britain occupied Palestine at the behest of the Zionists.

Next question?
(COMMENT)

Israel did not become a reality until 14/15 May 1948.

The Ottoman Provinces of the Levant (which included what would become Mandate Palestine) did not come under the multi-national (British/French/Arab) jurisdiction of the Occupied Enemy Territory Administration (OETA) 23 October 1917. However, it was the territory of the Ottoman Empire. That did not change until the following year (30 OCT 1918) when Admiral Somerset concluded the Armistice of Mudros which effectively ended the rule of the several centuries of Ottoman/Turkish Empire control.

The Ottoman Empire did NOT call the territory (from the River to the Sea) → an "Islamic Waqf [endowment]. It was caalled the Sanjac of Acre, the Sanjac of Nablus, and the Sanjac of Jerusalem. Not Palestine. It did not formally assume the name until the implementation of thePalestine Order in Council 10 August 1922.

This Order may be cited as “The Palestine Order in Council, 1922.”
The limits of this Order are the territories to which the Mandate for Palestine applies, hereinafter described as Palestine.

The Mandate for Palestine was published two days after the Palestine Order in Council.

(ONE FINAL POINT)

The Political History of Palestine under British Administration said:
22. Later in 1923, a third attempt was made to establish an institution through which the Arab population of Palestine could be brought into cooperation with the government. The mandatory Power now proposed “the establishment of an Arab Agency in Palestine which will occupy a position exactly analogous to that accorded to the Jewish Agency”. The Arab Agency would have the right to be consulted on all matters relating to immigration, on which it was recognised that “the views of the Arab community were entitled to special consideration”. The Arab leaders declined that this offer on the ground that it would not satisfy the aspirations of the Arab people. They added that, never having recognised the status of the Jewish Agency, they had no desire for the establishment of an Arab Agency on the same basis.
SOURCE: UN Document A/AC.14.8. 2 OCT 47

The Arab Palestinians were offered, on numerous occasions, to join with the British Administration and the Jewish Agency in the process of establishing a free and self-governing nation that could stand alone.

(REALITY)

No nation is perfect. No nation is without issues that can be criticized.

Britain called it the Mandate for Palestine because that is what it was.
