All cars today look the same

I see a lot of LAZINESS and lack of CREATIVITY when it comes to today's vehicles.

From post-WW2 until probably the 80s, virtually ALL American-manufactured vehicles were different, in some way, EVERY YEAR.

Different front end, different rear end, different body style, different models...........every year the vehicles CHANGED in some way that made that particular model year unique.

Nowadays, car companies, domestic and foreign, use the same designs for MANY years, and make very few changes to the exteriors, in particular.

We just purchased a 2013 Kia Soul. It is a fantastic car/crossover. Lots of great standard equipment, great warranty, and a very unique-looking vehicle. It's probably got the most "bang for your buck" that you can find in today's new car market.

It's true and it's a shame too.

I swear I see more and more people search for their cars. They may walk by it 2 or 3 times before seeing it. Hell every car in the parking lot looks so much like the others I really can't blame them.

Hard to believe anyone would think this.

Scion XB's, Fiat 500's, Chrysler 300's, Ford Fusion's, all Austins, all Porsches, Audi TT's, Cadilac CTS and ATS... all great looking cars, completely different designs, all 500% better than anything sold in the 70's.

I think you guys are just luddites.

As for changes year to year... virtually all companies have had 5-7 year design cycles since the 50's. They may change a headlight, a grill or some trim, but the basic bodies are virtually always used for 5 years or more. They have to be, or they become prohibitively expensive.
