Alex Van Halen

In 2022 my favorite drummer is Alex Van Halen.

He's always been one of my favorites behind Neil Peart of Rush, Nicko Mcbrain of Iron Maiden Mike Portnoy , Mike Mangini Terry Bozzio ....all these other guys but he's outlasted them in my mind...

When I listen to all these songs and a lot of other ones his drumming is almost always my favorite part of the song even with good singers like Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth and of course Eddie Van Halen on guitar. ( rip)

Oh yeah? I think this dude can top him, and most any other drummer out there today. Smitty's done everything from Jazz to arena rock, yes, I refer to Journey for which he's done two stints. 1978-1986 and 2017-2020.
