Alec Baldwin will stand trial on manslaughter charges

No, what he did was order explosives to be set off close to a helicopter, flying at night, while using two child actors who were too young to have been out on a set using explosives. He made all the bad decisions that got those kids killed. (And Vic Morrow)

After she directed him to do so to get a shot she wanted, and after the armorer assured him it was a "cold gun".
How the fuck do you get to be such a moron idiot?!

In my world, workplace accidents happen, and the main culprit here was the armorer.

She told Baldwin it was a safe gun.
The Cinematographer told him to point the gun at the camera.
Yeah, but IMO, that AD put live bullets in that gun and Alec didn't point it at the camera, because that's not what's dead, fucktard. :slap:

Apparently he did not follow the armorer's instructions.

it's called totality of the law
after all you did pull the trigger

I guess Alec and Don are above the law

A federal judge has dismissed former President Donald Trump’s indictment in the classified documents case, finding that the appointment of special counsel Jack Smith by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland was unconstitutional.
U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon said in a ruling issued Monday that the appointment of Smith to prosecute the case, which focuses on Trump’s retention of classified government documents after leaving the White House, violates the appointments clause of the U.S. Constitution.

LOL

Sure it does

And Hunter too

President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, was also prosecuted by a special counsel, prompting immediate speculation from political pundits that his case could be dismissed too, based on Cannon’s ruling.

Why were there live rounds in the gun? Live rounds should be illegal on a movie set or in a vehicle.

I'm glad that Baldwin's case was dismissed and not because I have no compassion for the person who lost her life. I personally think it's beyond idiotic that they would use real guns for "authenticity" with all of the technology and simulation ability we currently have at our disposal.

I don't know if Baldwin is a shooting aficionado or not, but personally speaking I would be very uncomfortable pointing and shooting a prop gun at another human being, that is a real gun because I would have to rely on another person to ensure that the weapon is not loaded with live rounds instead of me being able to check it and verify things for myself (that there are no rounds chambered) if I understand how they do things correctly.

I heard on the set they were being reckless with the guns. Shooting live ammo. Even if Alec opened up the gun, he wouldn't have noticed the slight difference between a real bullet and dud.

I smell foul play. And meanwhile we all think it was a stupid mistake. Pretty stupid. Did the lady in charge of guns not like Alec? Did someone else not like her and purposely put that bullet in the gun?

The armorer was breaking every rule in the book. She did indeed bring live ammo to the set.

But Alec pointed the revolver at Hylana, cocked the hammer, and pulled the trigger.

That makes him ultimately responsible. He broke the final rules in gun usage. Every other person on a movie set is assumed to be a moron. Thus the safety rules that have been developed over a century are designed to make them irrelevant.

Had Alec simply followed rule number one "Don't point your gun at anything you are not willing to destroy"

She would still be alive.

Why was Baldwin pointing a gun at a member of the crew?

Is it true that actors aren't supposed to point the prop gun at anyone and shoot? Can you show me this is a rule?
That is correct. Actors are instructed to NEVER point a gun at anyone. If a particular scene requires a gun be pointed at someone a inert replica is used.

Mike Papac is a good friend, he has been a prop master and armorer for decades, as he told one actor when I was visiting him on set, "never point the gun at anyone, aim about 15 degrees off, because the camera can't tell"
