March 1st can’t get here soon enough for many people who are eager to see how the primary season will shake out for the Republicans. In Alaska, the clear favorite seems to be Donald Trump, who has a 14 point lead over Ted Cruz – 41-27%. The state awards 28 delegates proportionally to any candidate who receives more than 13% of the statewide vote. This threshold probably leaves Ben Carson and John Kasich empty handed once the delegates are awarded on March 2nd (Some of Alaska’s far western caucuses aren’t held until midnight EST).
