Actually, when I went to boot camp, we were told of the variance and it was suggested that we not take it.

Being ordered to get the shot does not make it a legal order, just like being ordered to kill a civilian does not make that a legal order.

BTW, when being tested prior to being indoctrinated I was deemed to smart to be a marine as I asked questions. Obviously not something encouraged in your case.

And human testing of experimental drugs has never been "100%" legal. Even if you did ever serve you should be able to realize that using troops as human test subjects is never legal.
