(How much would a couple down pillows, a five gallon pail of foundation tar and a single used railroad rail run? That's all this schmuck deserves)

Agriculture Secretary: We Must Adjust Our Taste to Please the Government
When the amply-caboosed unofficial Diet Czar Michelle Obama barked ominously about restuarants duty to serve us less and worse-tasting food lest children get too chubby, corporate pansies characteristically scrambled to comply. Did they think that appeasement would keep the heavy fist of government from crashing down on their heads? If so, theyve been proven wrong already:
U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack told members of the National Restaurant Association on Monday that Americans need to adjust their tastes so that they like the kind of food the government believes they should eat and we have to make sure that what we do is create the appropriate transition.
You know, as we deal with this issue of reducing sodium [better known as salt] and sugar, it sounds simple to do, but you all know better than I do, its not as simple as it sounds, said Vilsack.
Its going to take time for peoples taste to adjust and they will adjust over time, but it will take some time, he said. So, we have to make sure that what we do is create the appropriate transition.
If told of a government so belligerently intrusive as to try to impose a transition in our taste in food, the Founding Fathers would have gasped in horror.
Vilsacks remarks about Americans taste buds came in response to a question about the best way to deal with food waste. He said the Agriculture Department has ongoing research projects to determine how to make nutritious [i.e., government approved] food more appealing so that less of it is wasted."
