The Chicago Cubs will be leaving WGN...

Wow...

Growing up on Banks, Santo, Kessinger, Jenkins, Hutton, Sutter and so on...

Many talk about the trade where the Redbirds got Lou Brock but no one ever remember the Cubs fleecing the Phillies twice once for Jenkins and then Sandberg.

The memories of Sandberg and Dawson and then Sosa ( yeah the roid era ) and the 2003 season that many blamed Bartman but it was the shortstop error and Baker stupidity that cost them and allowing the Marlins to spank the Yankees that year...

The time when Rick Monday stopped protesters from burning the flag to Jack Brickhouse " Hey, Hey " or Harry being drunk in the booth and some of us wondering will the crazy old man fall to his death while singing take me out to the ball game!?!

72 seasons and the final game will be against the Red Birds and it would be fitting if the Cubs clinched the playoffs on that final game...

So many memories and how WGN made the Cubs a national team...

yeah hope the cubs do that,yeah i remember those days,the days of sandberg and dawson and harry carey,a day and age when the game was not corrupt as it is now just like the NFL. sad to see WGN after all these decades will not be their carrier anymore,they were an institituion to the cubs.
