Adults Do Not Play Video Games

Not what it means......... It's claiming that people who play any game that it doesn't give the stamp of approval to (in this instant, video games) are not grown up, are acting juvenile.

Yes, but it is irrelevant.

Video games are a mature and extremely well developed art form and form of entertainment. Rather than passive, they are interactive entertainment.
You gamer fags are cracking me up!!!!!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!

"Personally, I feel that the game 'Hide-n-Go-Seek' is the personification of the eternal struggle between where Humanity has been and where it will go in the future; in this sense said game is like staring into the eyes of God"

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!! Fucking hilarious! All of you gamer fags ought to be neutered instanter!

When I was a kid, I couldn't get enough of video games & computer games. My parents forced me to study & stay away from them, but I really wanted to play them. As I've aged, videos games & computer games no longer bring me joy. I've played them, but it was like forcefully playing out of obligation. So, I just quit them. It just seemed stupid, pointless, boring, dull.

The same goes for cartoon. When you are a kid, you love watching cartoon. As you age, it is rather stupid & childish unless the theme is intended for the whole family like Disney cartoons. I still watched cartoon even when I was college age, but that was mostly because it was more convenient to watch than TV series. I was watching out of boredom, like "better to watch this than watch nothing at all". Like, my school had a cartoon club but had no TV series club. I was not even aware of Netflix back then. I also still played video game until like a year ago, but I don't play any video game or computer game at all these days. I don't watch any cartoon neither.

I think you have a point. It's about your soul growing tired of (or not tolerating) an immature range of cheap stimulation. However, as for the children, they are probably going to love them.

The Witcher 3 has some of the finest writing I've encountered. As a form of entertainment, I would much rather play it than sit idle watching a movie that doesn't have nearly as good of a plot nor the depth of character development.

I won't waste my time watching childish idiocy like "Scandal" or the other trash on TV, when truly well written entertainment is to be had in games.
Bingo.

Interactive is so much more interesting than vegetating and turning your brain off. I prefer engaging my mind much more than turning it off.

Don't get upset because your a baddy at games for adults. Just takes experience (muscle memory) and some critical thinking. You might get there some day.

you're just jealous........

Training Day: Videodrome Voting

You can learn a surprising amount of information about professional sports athlete profiles on various sports-themed video games such as NBA Live (EA Sports) and MLB: The Show (SCE San Diego Studio).

When I was younger, I enjoyed the colorful and intricately-elegant soccer game World Championship Soccer (Sega Genesis) which featured great game-play for the national teams for Italy and Brazil, featuring rather realistic play-stylings and team strategy views.

There's nothing wrong with peripheral learning and hand-eye coordination training for our rather well-developed computerized world, no?

There is an audience rating for games just as with movies. Some games are rated for 'Mature' or over 17, some are rated 'Adult' or over 18. Rating categories, content descriptors, and interactive elements from ESRB

Video games are not what they used to be. Super Nintendo is long gone although there are many similar available today for younger kids. The top rated video games of today tell a story just like a movie except you get to be in the movie.

The Call of Duty franchise has sold almost 200 million copies in total with $11 billion in revenue. Most of the games rated M for Mature.

Its simple, you don't like something don't do it. A lot of adults don't like reading. So don't read.

To each their own!

TV ratings are worthless. Lotta animated stuff is TV-MA just like ppv porn. Yet the animated commercial content is still incredibly censored with audio bleeps, black box coverings, etc. So what's the point of giving something TV-MA if you're going to then censor it?

Lots of games have brilliant graphic art, and some are master pieces. Playing an action game is better than watching a film, because in a game you are the main character, and you get to do stuff, and interact with the characters. I admit I like mindless violent first person shooter games. But some shooter games like 'deus ex' are quite sophisticated.

First off, video games are nothing more than toys. They are for passing time, they are games, and they deal in fantasy. They are the very definition of what makes up a toy. Playing video games is no different than playing with Legos of Lincoln Logs.

Are these toys some more advanced than children's toys? I know that "gamers" will say yes. However, you have got o remember that kids 10-12 years old play the same video games that adults do and they play them just as well or better. I have kids and they have friends. Unfortunately I have to shell out money to buy these things. Occasionally I am subjected to having to play with them in the execution of dad duties.

Thus, "gamers" are spending hours playing with toys that are enjoyed regularly by children in the 10-12 year old age group.

Now imagine how it would be perceived if adults were playing with other toys routinely enjoyed by kids in the 10-12 year old age group. Here are some of those kiddie games and activities:

- riding bikes
- playing pretend war
- making and flying paper airplanes
- playing with toy cars and RC cars
- playing hide and seek
- throwing around a football
-playing dodgeball

If an adult were to regularly engage in these activities they would be referred to a mental health professional for an evaluation. They would most certainly be deemed a man-child or woman-child and appropriately shunned by society.

Thus, I submit that adults playing video games for the purpose of personal amusement have got something seriously wrong with them on a psychological and/or emotional level. One would think that something traumatic happened in their childhood to arrest their development, such as sexual abuse. But, frankly, childish behavior and immaturity seems to be widespread, and even embraced, by today's millennial kids.

Whatever the case, clearly we have failed our children and our nation by producing an entire generation of slobbering morons who still play with children's toys well into adulthood.

Really? We adults that like to gamble, self indulge in booze, snort coke, and indulge in meaningless sexual unions. A good video game can be like a good book or a good movie or good art, or a childish distraction.Like life, it is what you make it.

There's a staggering level of irony involved in wasting enough time to write this wall of text to whine about something you believe to be a waste of time.

Don't like video games? Then don't fucking play them. Simple as that.

We don't give a shit what your worthless opinions on video games are.

Screw you, Jethro! My point, which you so mind bogglingly missed, is that adult gaming is indicative of a more serious underlying problem. Pay attention this time so you do not miss the point, asshole: it is indicative of immaturity. In addition, gaming changes how your brain processes things, causing people to expect instant gratification rather than investing appropriate time and energy to achieving desired results, as is necessary in real life.

To your half-witted point about irony, it probably took me a whole five minutes to write my comment. These gamer fags spend HOURS each day trying to capture fairies, kill zombies, and fuck a Mario brother.

Congrats on embarrassing yourself, jack off. Now you can go back to playing with your toys and jacking off to anime. Fag!

LOL.

I do love how he points to immaturity without any realization of how mind bogging immature he is actually being. I guess he has played a LOT of video games. That might explain his asinine conclusions :D
