Civil judges are elected or appointed by elected officials. In this case, I have no clue as to the specifics and apparently neither do you. The federal government is definitely not involved. You are very adept at making blanket accusations with no facts yet again.

Eh... The mother gloated online that the 9mm was a Christmas gift. In many states, and obviously MI, it is illegal for minors to 'own' a handgun. I support the 2A. But parents can't be so cavalier about gun ownership, or show NO responsibility of proper gun ownership, especially around children, teens. Do I think their 10 year sentence is harsh, yes, and I believe it is setting a bad precedent that can be used against all parents in the future, regardless of the circumstances, and if proper gun storage, training, and usage was being used in the home.

The Michigan parents situation causes even more questions to be asked.

You get parents to be more careful by making an example of these parents. Lock them up for 1 year. 6 months with good behavior. And then the victims will come after you financially.

This is partial truth. You know, and everyone knows that the MSM and Politicians group 15-17 year old gang bangers, with guns, who are shot by other gang bangers and thugs in the same camp as school shootings. That is the VAST MAJORITY of "Children killed by guns".

School shootings, as tragic as they are, are statistically miniscule in the data. That's the truth.
