WCSC : NAACP says teachers, parents being punished by big budget deficit

Where to begin.....

The NAACP is angry at the Charleston school districts plan to cover an $18 million deficit. Some cuts of course. And the NAACP says they want those who are responsible held accountable since it hurts black students (uh hum....Charleston is one of the few cities in SC with a Democrat mayor).

Dot Scott...NAACP leader here....says one plan is to close mostly black, failing and crumbling Lincoln High School and relocate those students 10 miles away into Wando High....the states largest HS, mostly white, and annually ranked as one of the very best high schools in the state.

Her problem? She says people in the area still have a segregation mindset from the old days and are using this as a tactic.

Ummmm.......WHAT????? All of us white racist segregationists (as she sees us) have this plot to keep the poor black kids at the horrendous Lincoln High segregated.....by reassigning them to the extremely successful Wando High with mostly white affluent students and a college prep program????

Damn. Now that's a doozy.

The reason this bitch is mad....is she's the NAACP leader and Lincoln High was her monument to oppression. Poor, crumbling, failing all black school with a shrinking enrollment. She could alway point and say "Look what oppressive whites did!!!"

Now....we wanna move those poor kids into possibly the best public high school in the entire state.....where they inevitably will have a MUCH BETTER shot at success. And she's mad?????

Yes. Because the NAACP leaders DON'T WANT success for poor black folks. They need you too much to point towards when it's fundraising time.

Black folks....please kick these clowns to the curb. You folks deserve so much better. Just like the Lincoln High kids....deserve to go to a better school. And now they will.
