You still don't understand how laws work in conjunction with the judicial branch? That's on you.
When you are sitting in jail for a crime that you didn't committ (for political reasons) that's probably a damn good case for compensation.
 
It's not a crime you didn't commit until a court rules that way.
So it's okay to lock up innocent people beause prosecutors were biased or incompetent and the miscarriage of justice was one day unearthed and people were freed?

No, it's ok to lock up people who violate a law. If courts determine that law is unconstitutional then it would be wrong to prosecute people on that law. That doesn't mean it was an illegal law before courts rule otherwise.

Your argument is like saying segregated schools were illegal before 1954 when Brown v. Board of Education determined segregated schools were in violation of the Constitution. But they weren't illegal until that landmark ruling.
