Capital punishment is sometimes the appropriate punishment. Wars (like WWII), are sometimes necessary. Mortality and poverty are unstoppable.

Speaking just for myself, my feelings about abortion are actually in conflict, so how can I pretend to know what other people should do. Generally, most of us agree that abortion after some months of gestation is "wrong." And that time frame has changed over 50 years.

And slavery is not the same as abortion. It's just an attempt to find a logical correlation, that doesn't exist, to bolster an argument. So it's not surprising the threads ... weird. LOL

Do you understand the purpose of making anything illegal? That purpose is to dissuade people from doing it. The purpose of laws against bank robbery is to dissuade people from robbing banks. Then if abortion becomes illegal, then the baby should be carried to term and delivered. There are plenty of people ready, willing, able, and qualified to adopt her little bundle of joy. That argument about back-alley abortion was a bogus one from the start.

The fetus gets it's DNA from it's Mother and Father. Except the mitochondria DNA comes only from the Mother.
