If you don't like what a play is about, don't go see it.
Trying to stop some play because it offends Christians is not the freedom we are supposed to have. That is more like what happens in Muslim countries.

You didn't offend anybody. It just doesn't make any sense. Would Hollywood make Martin Luther King Jr. a white man or woman? Also you know that this is based upon DEI and not merit.

The play being discussed here doesn't appeal to me at all. However, I am not in favor of banning plays. Ridicule-absolutely appropriate. Banning plays....nope.

Nobody wants to try and ban the play but why can't there be a man playing Jesus as this is ridiculous and blasphemous.

I recommend that you personally boycott the play, and ridicule it.
I will also point out that I was a teenager when 'jesus Christ superstar ' (the original) came out. At that time Christians railed against it for being 'sacreligious' simply because it was full of rock music.

I don't think so as I just see it as being like contemporary Christian music, but to each their own. Even you must admit that at least Jesus isn't a black woman in it.

I am in favor of allowing the public to do whatever they want. No "banning" anything in the public realm.
Government should not be engaged in such nonsense as affirmative action or dei.
Non-government entities should be free to make whatever plays they see fit to make. They have the freedom to fail at being profitable, or successful.
