Trump responded by saying that he was “not advocating guns in the classroom.” He then said that “teachers should have guns, trained teachers should have guns in classrooms.”

Make sense?

Skip to 1:04 to hear the "I dont want that but I do want that" explanation that leaves Fox and Friends going

1:07 "I dont want to have guns in Classrooms although in some cases Teachers should have guns in Classrooms" :wink_2:

1:25 "Im not advocating guns in classrooms but remember in some cases trained teachers should have guns in classrooms" :wink_2:

Trained and armed security, folks.

Just don't use them to police the kids. We pay the teachers and administrators for that.

Maybe the Hair Apparent With the Very Good Brain and the Best Words simply doesn't know what the word "advocate" means.

:dunno: What indeed. Even he doesn't know.

  • He has to second guess every word out of his mouth, because there isn't a democrat in sight that doesn't want to take him down. So I think he said what he meant. "Yes". And then had to clarify before some newspaper headline reads, "Trump wants 2nd. graders to have ak47's in their lockers!" So he clarified with, "Not everybody, but trained teachers should."
And I wholeheartedly agree. Trump 2016.

I think he meant that random people can't come onto schools with guns but he said employees of the school should have access to them. I don't see the contradiction here.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight, because the question of "should random people come into schools with guns" is a deeply divided issue that the country and its political parties are split on. A question on which after careful consideration of the pros and cons Rump courageously takes a stand.

As for random people coming onto schools --- that's just perverted.

What you think he meant and what he said are two different things.

"Yes". And by 'yes' I mean "No". Unless you're not sure in which case I mean "Maybe".

Way to take a stand. :gay:

In other words "whatever sells, I'll say it, and it'll sell. Like my vodka and my water and my magazine and my airline and my board game and my casino and my steaks". Rump is merely being efficient --- saving time by taking both sides in a single interview. All lies and jest, you hear what you want to hear and disregard the rest.

Liberals lie and spin its what they do.

You whine and complain, thats your thing

Your existence is meaningless.

I think you meant I'm awesome. I wholeheartedly agree. See how easy the "I think you meant" defense is?

I think you mean yes, you do.

Did they mix up your meds again?

Most of the time when people think that anyone should be armed at school they mean anyone can be armed such as just walking onto campus with a gun or having a gun without the principle's permission.

Had Trump been asked the same question you posed, his answer would have been no, just like any thinking adult's answer would have been.
His stand is, not everybody should bring guns into schools, but trained teachers, having a gun, and the ability to protect our children is a good idea. He's correct. Gun free zones are targets. Our children are targets. Cowering in a closet isn't an effective deterrent.
Trump 2016, because our kids should be protected.
