It may be too late for this but...

A science advisor who Trump selects for his scientific positions can do no better than Trump is capable in science himself.

Trumps Secretary of Defense James Mattis was highly respected in the military by both sides of the aisle.

So why shouldn't the science advisor be well-respected in science? Neil degrasse Tyson and Stephen Hawking are well-respected in their domains. Trump, if it's not too late, should pick someone well-respected across the range of sciences. The two guys denying climate change in major ways are not well-respected.

They deny the climate ever changes?
That's outrageous!!!

They deny the subject of "climate change" in major ways, like that it is not random or that people can't affect it; that's what I meant.

Todd, old boy, the government is not going to be able to prevent people from putting up windmills. After all, that is the decision of the utilities. And, since wind and solar are the least costly form of generation to install, and the resultant power is the least costly to generate, we are all going to see a lot more of both.

Rocky, you should spend all the money you'd like on your own windmills.
As long as tax dollars and government mandates aren't involved....go nuts!

After all, that is the decision of the utilities.

Utilities wouldn't be wasting money on more expensive, less reliable windmills if it weren't for green mandates.

You never said, when will all that cheap power drop German rates from 4 times ours closer to double ours?
5 years? 10 years? Never?
