Will is a leading Conservative thinker, but he never bought into the Trump thing (I was also a late holdout).
But at some point, all true Republican Conservatives got on board. No other Republican could possibly have been elected, and the most (apparently) Conservative of them, Ted Cruz, would have been trounced by HRC.
Adults understand that public figures should be evaluated on the basis of what they DO, and not the irritating personality traits that alienate segments of the public. On immigration, trade, Defense, regulations, taxes, and so many more things, Trump accomplished more in four years, with more flack from all sides, than any other Republican in the past hundred years.
George Will is still a great Conservative thinker, intellectually superior to ANYONE at the NYT, WaPo, blah, blah blah. His Trump blind spot should be ignored.
