A Quick Question to OCD Posters

Every once in a while, I check for new posts and often see that a couple of people (not mentioning names...yet) have posted, like, 10,000 consecutive posts in a single thread. WTF? Why not just make one, larger post? Why say so much in the first place, instead of simply addressing a few of the most recent posts?
