To all members here that carry a concealed weapon. Does anyone here carry a gun sorta like the gun Pretti was carrying? It does not seem to me that this is a standard carry gun.

Nope. Glock G19 with standard sights and with two spare mags.

I'd like to put optics on it but they're pricey. It would be interesting to see what kind of holster he was using. Probably some shitty Uncle Mike's OWB nylon or Kydex he got at Walmart.

Naw, he was a real man and just tucked it in the front of his pants like the hero he wanted to be.

Please, he is deceased.

I would like to know the money behind it all. That to me is critical and if someone is hiding these details it is a problem. Just as it was a problem when the female soldier was killed on J6. Too much secrecy and silence is a HUGE gift to China and Russia.

He is, but I cannot have much sympathy or respect for a Nurse who strapped up and went to protest the enforcement of law and order.

No tears from me.

Everyone knows those Sig P320s have problems going off when they shouldn't. He's lucky he didn't blow his junk off and go through the rest of his life known as "Alexandra."

So, in case you are a leftist and have problems identifying criminal behavior, take a look at this woman. Don't even bother to blame the ICE agents. They were doing their legal duty.

Stupid ****. :laughing0301:

Personal preference is a Colt Cobra .38 special revolver and a reload.

If I felt I needed more then it's rifle/shotgun time. ;)

That's the same model I carry when I walk down to the mailbox or go to the township dump.

Early model though, with the cheap alloy frame, so I don't use +P ammo.

Cheap? WTF?

The all steel version is called the Colt Detective Special.

The old 158gr. LHPSWC "FBI load" works just fine in both.

When I said "cheap" I meant they tried to lighten it by using some kind of aluminum alloy. Look at the top strap, how it's become pitted over the years. I only have $20 in it, so I'm not complaining.

But it does have another issue: There one ratchet on it that the hand won't advance the cylinder when you thumb the hammer back. But only in single-action. If you just pull the trigger and shoot it in double-action, all six chambers invariably fire.

Agreed on the The old 158gr. LHPSWC "FBI load." That's what these were made for.

Quit tossing it down the driveway. ;)

Sounds like you have a worn cylinder star. Just order a replacement off eBay.

All of that said, there is a reason ICE agents are not trained for those circumstances. Those circumstances are—or at least should be—entirely outside of their purview. Their job is to arrest people who are breaking immigration laws, not to manage crowds. Unfortunately for everyone involved, the people who are trained to manage crowds and who should be handling protestors—state and local police—have been ordered not to do so by state and municipal authorities. We can get into a chicken-and-egg argument here, but the bottom line is that people who are not equipped to handle crowd control are being forced to do so for partisan political reasons. And only a change in political calculations will de-escalate that aspect of the current situation. A Citizen’s Guide to Violence in Minneapolis › American Greatness

The P320 model is widely carried by armed civilians and US law enforcement, including ICE — but has been the subject of more than 100 allegations that it has a defect that allows it to fire “uncommanded.”

Authorities shared a picture of Pretti’s loaded handgun in the wake of Saturday’s shooting, showing a fully loaded magazine.

The weapon appears to be a high-end custom variant, a P320 AXG Combat, which comes with three 21-round magazines. The gun retails for $1,100 to $1,300.

Sig said it has fixed the issue and noted that accidental discharges are exceedingly rare, considering the millions of pistols produced.

In 2017, the company brought in a “Voluntary Upgrade Program,” allowing owners to change their handguns for updated models designed to solve safety concerns regarding so-called drop-firing, where the gun discharged when dropped at a specific angle.

Same but different here, Walther PPQ M2 9mm 15+1 loaded, with two spare magazines, Craft shoulder, horizontal, holster pointing to rear. Not planning to shoot myself in the leg or nuts.
