A lot of people like to consider themselves politically "moderate" but, other than feeling good, what does that mean? Where is "the middle of the road" and what do they wish to "compromise?" The Biden and Trump administrations present starkly different policies. If you want to straddle them, what policies would you favor? You can't have it both ways, so don't just list the polices you oppose.

I used to be a moderate way back in the day. But politics was not as radical, so it was easy. Dems and reps were colleagues and could talk. Now it is all daggers.

Being a "moderate" means they don't want to accept any responsibility for their vote.

If you are a moderate you are not in the middle of the road. You are on both sides of the road. You support some issues that lean right and some that lean left.
It sounds like you have not compromised much. Compromise is always a dynamic process. Both sides discuss their differences. They put priorities on the different issues. Then you negotiate an agreement with both sides giving some.

They can't. Because the policies each side espouses are diametrically opposed to each other.

Great idea and timing for this kind of a thread.

I'll be lifting the ignore to see the responses here.

I'm pro-life so I support programs that help a woman to decide to keep her baby.

Leaves me out of both parties.

I don't support funding other countries wars. Again, leaves me out of both parties.

I believe in being fiscally responsible. Out again.

So am I supposed to tell you want Trump policies I would embrace while telling you what Biden policies I would oppose? Is that the point of this thread?

Then how can they be "moderate?" It is time for them to $hit or get off the pot.

What's this supposed to mean? What is it you feel they need to do?
