Imagine your opponent tees off and the ball stops near the hole on the green ⛳

You tee off and you land on the green, the ball rolls to the hole, hits your opponents ball and both yours and theirs lands in the hole.

You win a BMW car for a hole in one. Do you both get a car?

Or worse, theirs goes in, yours stops. Do they get the car?

You gotta split it.

They get to drive it on alternate weeks? Who pays the insurance? Or do the insurance companies double dip?

Wouldn't matter because at that point would be beating the golf cart with my club and cussing enough to embarrass everyone around. They would kick me off the course for bad behavior, and I wouldn't get shit.

I saw a golf shot that rolled and hit an opponents ball on the green, both close to the hole but neither went in. That got me thinking about if they both went in, is it a hole in one for both. And if yours stayed out but it knocked your opponents ball in, do they get a hole in one.

Never played golf so I wondered.

I thought it would be one each.

If you get a hole in one twice, do you get two cars?
Per USGA rules if your ball hits a ball on the green, you play your ball where it ends up but the ball you hit is replaced as near to the original spot as possible. So only you would get the hole in one.

I don't know if it's ever happened, either. I tried, but am a shitty golfer, giving it up for the good of the game and safety of other players up and down the line. Think Tin Cup.

That thing about truck giveaways has been on Lehto's Law, within the last year, but it was rinky tournements, trying to welsh on giving the truck.

That's a bit of a let down

First ball in the hole wins the car

I would think 2nd shot got a hole in one since the 1st shot had stop but not fell in cup, so even if it gets knocked in I wouldn't view it as a hole in one.
