The fact is that "great british" institution would not exist at all without immigrants. The picture is not really complete.. It doesnt show the staff who have come from India and Asia recently.

But even they might be coming to an end. I was talking to my nurse yesterday. She is staying here for 3 years while she finishes some specialist training. Then she is off travelling. She can get well paid work in America, Australia and the Gulf without the stress of working for the tories.

We agreed that skills and training are your passport to a better life.

To have a better life they are fleeing your NHS, not "the tories". Its pay sucks compared to US healthcare salaries.

Its been the same thing for 14 years. The Junior Doctors are asking for a 32% pay rise to return to 2010 levels of pay. That is the extent of the hollowing out the tories have been responsible for.
So both versions are true but they are fleeing the NHS because of tory mismanagement.
Its also worth noting that the tories and the **** farage want to kick out all of our immigrant nurses. Especially the dark skinned ones.
They still havent cottoned on to the fact thaat they are not in control of this. Nurses and Doctors have marketable slkills. Not just those guys. My wife works in a radiography department. All of the specialists are Asian.

British subjects who give a shit about their health generally go abroad and avoid socialized medicine completely.

When Mick Jagger needed complicated heart surgery, he came to America. When Keith Richards needed his blood changed so he could qualify for a visa, he went to a private clinic in Switzerland.

Conservatives in the US aren't much better when our system is increasingly dependent on foreign born doctors, but even a 32% pay raise won't level you up much I am afraid. My better half is an ICU charge nurse and her income is around the top of the NHS contract GP's salary range in the UK. A British nurse probably won't leave her homeland for that, but someone who left their homeland already to come to the UK is more likely to be lured in by the pay differential. One of the problems hospitals in the US are facing when it comes to nurses is a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation. They are losing a lot of permanent staff to "traveling nurse" positions which then requires them to use travel nurses which just feeds the cycle. Those positions pay more but don't carry the same benefits or even guarantee of work.

My wife worked in a private hospital for a few years. She considered it easy compared to the NHS. Oddly she was paid less in private. The people take it because it is less stressful and often more flexible. If anything went wrong they just cialled 999 for an ambulance to come from nect door. Ptivate hospitals dont have emergency services or ICU. They rely on the state for back up.

If people stay here for a while they tend to put down roots, get married and so on. Thank God for that.

Are Brits bragging about the National Health Service? Apparently they put you on a long list and call it a success if you die while you are waiting. If they are wealthy enough they come to the U.S for serious operations.

NHS staff up 23%, spending up 19.1%, and what do the staff give back in efficiency terms, 3%

And what did Starmer's Labour say -

In its manifesto, Labour insisted it had a plan to tackle this - creating an extra 40,000 appointments and operations a month, by getting the NHS to do more at weekends as well as using the private sector more.

So yup, more privatisation.

Labour, the proud champions of NHS privatisation.

Let me explain it to you. The NHS was hollowed out over 14 years of tory cutbacks.
Then when the shit hits the fan and you see ambilances queueing up at A and E and people dying in corridors they do mass recruitment to enable the feeble minded like you to claim everything is ok.

But it takes years to train a doctor. Takes years to train a nurse. That is what is missing. 7 years of training back in the time of Cameron was cut out and now we are paying for it.
Look up associate physicians. You are falling over them in hospitals but they cant actually do anything..
They broke it down bit by bit and it will take time to revuild it to the NHS they inherited from Labour.

How much is the NHS underfunded by? Give me that figure, it's a basic question.

You said it's underfunded, so by how much?

You want to buy that £50,000 new car but you claim you're underfunded. So how much more do you need? What's wrong with you?

When you work out your figure Tommy Tainant , don't forget that healthcare is devolved in the 4 UK countries, so remember -

Initially administered by the UK Government, since 1999 NHS Wales has been funded and managed by the Welsh Government.

So your computation needs to cover 1999 to 2024. Good luck.
