The catholic church has always opposed homosexuality, yet in the early years before christ and even after christ, Homosexuality was socially normal. The roman empire can be trace'd as the first homosexual active empire, though it was mostly durning large sex orgys invloving men and women. Homosexuality is not a disorder, it was accepted back then, it is accepted now, though not as openly as the the earlier centurys.
