My boiled eggs are hot and serbed in an egg cup with a dash of ketchup and a slice of toast cut into soldiers.

The yolk has too much phosphorus for me. I just eat the whites, 60% of protein is found in the whites.

We can't afford eggs in America right now. Over $5/ dozen. Fuck that.
I will go get chickens if need be. I do have yardbirds I don't wanna eat the eggs of n stuff.
Dey too purty. And the coons fuck their eggs up too. Every birth they have I feel like it's a victory.
Oh yeah, I suppose if I was inclined I could harvest peacock eggs.

I was going to start raising chickens, but my neighbors put the kibosh on that -- they have a 4' chain link fence and 2 adult pits, and my chickens would be dead tout de suite. But there are enough folks around that raise chickens, so fresh eggs are easily had, and relatively cheaply as well.

Egg whites are a very rich source of high quality dietary protein, however, most of the essential vitamins and minerals of an egg are contained in the yolk, including phosphorus. Phosphorus is an essential nutrient necessary for bone health, energy production and DNA/RNA synthesis.

Of course some patients who are suffering from certain medical conditions, such as diabetic kidney disease, need to moderate their phosphorus intake. But thankfully, us normal healthy folks needn't be concerned about enjoying very plentiful amounts of dietary phosphorus.

Besides phosphorus, egg yolks are also chock full of other essential trace minerals including iron, zinc, and selenium and contain folate, pantothenic acid, and choline in addition to vitamins A, E, K, B12, and D3.

Oh, the neighbor made it clear with his usual raised eyebrow that he didn't want his dog "bothered" by the presence of chickens.

They're nice enough people but he has a "cock-of-the-walk" attitude. No one in town takes him seriously. They've had FOR SALE signs up in the last year and I try not to look disappointed when they can't find a buyer.

I should get the chickens anyway and make them pay for a taller fence, but I prefer to keep peace.
