I found a USMB Tag list and posted it.
I know many won't find this interesting, but I didn't know who was who. If you're one of the uninterested ones?
Sorry to have bothered you. You can now return to your usual USMB experience.
Thanks BDBoop. I always stood up when others were after you. I know it's easy to go with such a flow and I was holidaying for a full year at that time. Still it wasn't a perma holiday like the time before or before or...
Yeah, it's okay when
you do it once because you are politically on my side. But what about all the others who want to try out this function for their pet peeves?
Copied to my thread suggesting a change from this system to one which would make everyone happy except the little Pogo who seems to like being mentioned alot.

Actually Mojo -- since you called me in -----
I've already weighed in --- probably pages ago. And I'm kinda on your side here. Because I believe it WILL be a future problem. This feature is really useful for folks who want responses to EXISTING posts, for letting people know that they are being discussed, or simply that you are back on-line or any number of LEGIT reasons. The reason that modifying it isn't getting traction right now -- seems to be that most folks are not using it for targeted reasons. You can tell that by the number of mentions that get posted in people's public profiles is actually pretty low.
If folks start adopting it for reasons OTHER than cattle calls, then it's harder to ignore. Because the real users will be clogged up with invitations to threads..
The other problem, from a Moderator point of view, is that it's an infractible offense to mention a person that has put you on ignore. And folks doing cattle calls can end up with nastygrams from management if they don't prune their lists.
So ---- I still believe we should have a sticky or a sub-forum for announcing threads. And I believe that folks should be using the thread rating function to attract people to the GREAT threads. 2 alternatives for finding hot topics.
Anyway --- returning the favor Mojo2 <<
