A boycott of Target, Amazon, Walmart and more in being planned for Feb. 28.

Nobody goes to a business with the purpose of wanting to help it. I never in my life went to a store because I wanted to see it succeed.
I’d like to think you are in the minority

I do, and I know many people that do. I just went to dinner last night at a local spot that had been struggling since xindenflation 25 percent increase on food, but I want them to try and succeed

I think though that you have the mindset of the 21 percenters that approve of the Dems, you lack a since of community, and instead of selfish and don’t think of others around you

Thats what I'm saying. I could care less if a business is woke or not woke, Christian or atheist, a lying Democrat or a labor hating republican. If I need something i will go get it.
Yes, and that’s how businesses work. They sell you something you need. So why do you want them to fail?

Do you want the major grocery stores to go under, so that millions of people lose their jobs - and prices skyrocket due to the limited supply?

You Democrats are so stupid.

I did the same thing during COVID. I ordered a lot of food to be delivered from restaurants that weren’t allowed to open. I didn’t want to see them fail.

I think our society is moving away from community and more to stronger and independent. A positive trend. More single stable stronger society.

We don't eat out really at all. Never have. Not interested in social aspects. That's for those who feel a need to have to be around others.

Most people recognize and appreciate the value of social relationships - and wish to nurture it. Enjoying a good meal among friends is a great way to do that.

Others, like you apparently, care only about themselves. You gave that away when you said rising prices are not a concern.

A society is a community, made up of individuals.

I do think we are moving away from a centralized regime, that the left supports and more to individualized communities working together, instead of one regime out of Washington dictating what is good or bad and picking winners and losers.

You can invite friends to your house and cook for them. Thats just ad good. The business wont suffer because you didn't patronize it.

That’s a lot of work, and expense, to entertain. It’s much more relaxing for friends to meet at a restaurant.

They're not going to ever go under. I'd happily pay higher prices so their floor workers get a substantial wage increase. But that will only happen if the store cant find any workers. Not if people boycotted working in said stores that might very well be interesting to watch.

True. We haven't eaten with friends since before covid, even our church friends. Really hasn't dawned on us to get together with people anymore. Perhaps that was a positive about covid for society. More I dependent young people now co.ing thru the ranks.

That’s so sad. I enjoy my time with my friends. Last Saturday we went out to eat, and then a concert. Great time!

Maybe it's because you're an asshole who nobody wants to spend time with.

Sure, but most people want to pay the lowest price they can, your money goes farther that way. That's why the Target, Amazons, and Walmarts are so important to the lower income people. Economies of scale, they can sell stuff at a lower rice mostly cuz they buy it in such large quantities and at a lower cost.

I had to laugh, we support a non profit that helps the homeless, awhile back they needed sleeping bags, hand warmers, etc. They had an Amazon "shopping list" where you could buy the items.

A few weeks later the same non profit sent out an email to boycott Amazon.

Oh boy

I wonder if it's a religious-based organization, and decided, as I did, to boycott Amazon when they proudly announced that they'd pay for their employees' abortions.

I actually have a few Catholic friends who were still using Amazon, and were grateful when I informed them that Amazon was spending their money to kill unborn babies.

All amazon said is they’d cover up to 4K for traveling expenses for any life threatening treatments needed that aren’t nearby

You mistate their insurance benefits

If someone has issues with what a private company offers as far as insurance then maybe they shouldn’t support them
