According to Yedioth Ahronoth, the mother of soldier Ofer Eliyahu, who was killed in Jabalia on Monday, stated: "They were sent to fight like ducks."

The father of soldier Ofer Eliyahu, who died in an operation by the Al-Qassam Brigades yesterday in Jabalia, mentioned that his son and his comrades were hit by an anti-tank missile as they entered one of the buildings.
He expressed that the soldiers were turned into targets like ducks in the battlefield, being sent into the sector merely to fight. He added that Ofer and his group were dispatched to combat in Jabalia without any instructions.

The IOF militia has acknowledged that 24 officers and soldiers have been killed in Jabalia since the commencement of the current terrorist operation.
