Red State! Amen.
Entering the USA illegally is a crime. But remaining here too long by “overstaying” a legally issued visa is apparently not classified as a “crime” in our Immigration laws.

It should be. There shouldn’t be any U.S. legal question about it. Congress needs to get its shit together. Pass a law amending the INA and related immigration laws to plainly state that “overstaying” one’s visa shall be considered a crime and automatically also qualifies the alien for prompt deportation.

The reasons many overstay a visa are numerable.

There are all sorts of visas. Let's preemptively make all visa holders criminals until proven innocent. We can't prove intent (well maybe people like you can), so let's just make it all very simple, very easy, case closed.

You’re still quite dense.

As I recently said, of course the criminality will likely require some additional element(s). For example it could happen that an overstay was unavoidable and not done with any intent to subvert the visa or the law.

That’s just a factor for the law to address. It is not a valid obstacle to making the law much more sharply delineated.

Well, we don’t know yet.

Their track record ain’t great. But it’s a new day and this town now has a new sheriff. The past doesn’t always have to be prolog.

As you "recently said?" You believe people pay attention to most of what you say here?

Everyone will be in visa-court. Fill it up. More bureaucracy. That's the ticket. Help the administrative state stay alive

thank you

For some people immigration is at the top of a list. Not that it would make the lives of most Americans better. But it would deal with the Wingnut/FOX News narratives.

I understand. I also am familiar with Congress' track record in this area.

New Sheriff? In teh Congress? Oh wait!

Trump/The Executive Branch.

Maybe Trumpie-bird can legislate through executive orders and keep the courts tied up -- helping to keep alive the much dreaded administrative state.

Mario is replying to again from the dainty.
Noting that I had previously said something doesn’t require you to accept it. You imbecile. And ankle nippers like you, the dainty, being the troll that you are, hang on my every word. Fact.

🥱

Foolish even by your “standards.” What it can instead accomplish is the swifter deportation of illegal aliens.

Morons of your abysmally low IQ can’t quite get the bigger picture. But the obvious truth is still right in front of all of us. If you come here illegally or if (without good cause) you overstay your Visa, you OUGHT TO have NO expectation of remaining here.
thank you
Gfy.

Let's just back up for a moment. Whatever the government does to make our lives better is quickly undone by us doing things that make our lives worse. We create other problems and dump them on the government. It's a zero-sum game.

I liked RR, but when he said "the government is the problem" he was only half right. "We the People" are the other half.

Would you overstay your visa to America if you were lucky enough to get one?

One change would be keeping out creeps like Trump's grandfather and then his inlaws
