I have doubts about this post because I can't see where A-10s would be all that good against light-skinned vehicles. The A-10 is a Tank-Buster. Using it on Pickups and other light, hillbilly bullshit would be a waste of ammo.

The A-10 wart hog is versatile just like the C-130. C-130 is more of a cargo plane and is a beast. Sure you can load a howitzer on it too.

The A-10 is what I keep hearing that is going to be discontinued. Yes, you are correct that it started its service career as a tank hunter. Low, slow, maneuverable in tight locations. It can carry the heavy anti-tank rounds. Any ATG round is going to be a very heavy munition.

But it also can carry several Gatlin style guns that are more anti-personel and light vehicle....which is what they did. And they can haul a lot of ammunition that can be reloaded in flight (most have to land to be reloaded except C-130 and A-10's I think....not as much a military buff as I once was)

Unless they have a new cargo plane. C-130's are it. (Huge plane)
