Trump should have picked Haley for VP. It would have ensured victory and greased the way for Haley in '28. Haley voters would back Trump if only to help position her for 2028. And, I doubt if he would have lost a significant number of Repubs who don't like Haley. Plus, if anything happened to Trump Haley is very able to take over as prez. Vance is a lightweight compared to her.
