9 dead in mass shooting in Austria.....but......gun control?

It is not the same. He owned legally two weapons and was tested whether he knows everything about how to handle this guns - so no one is able to be hurted unintentionally. (“Place ammunition and weapons in different locations” for example). And he had to make also a psychological test under the presence of a psychologist if It is correct what I heard. He got the lincense called in Austria "drivers license for guns".

Psychological tests are able to fail. When they fail in most cases someone gets not a good result so he gets no license on not any real existing reason. Not nice but no risk for no one. Here had happened the second kind of error: He got the license although he had not to get it. Perhaps this has to do with that he looked more like an innocent sensitive boy than a barbarian swashbucklar.

Another problem with psychological tests is it that the concrete content of the test should be unknown to the tested person. More easy example: Someone makes an IQ test - then he is able to train with lots of tests. This is not bad because it is just simple a training how to make such a test. But no one should know the concrete items of the final test which is used for the measurement - otherwise the test is not able to give a correct result.
In the US you can get a free machine gun with every box of cornflakes.
Austria will tighten up its regulations because the system isnt working.

And no one is asking those questions.

Wrong. The Austrians do so / will do so - because it exist some ways how to minimize the risk.

They just want to use this to take away guns.

That's one of the best ways to minimize the risks because this is minimizing also the absolute number of possible mistakes. Indeed on my own I do not understand why people like to have machines in their homes which are able to spit little pieces of metal via mini-explosions through the air. That's a very absurd hobby. Who for heavesn sake needs such machines? For what? That's dangerous. Someone could die.

Even in the middle age cities which often had to be defended existed public weapon chambers ("Zeughaus" in German) - and although every citizen had to train on good reasons with weapons nearly no citizen had weapons at home.

A majority need weapons to deal with people like you once they cease being a
Nuisance and become a dangerously compliant group — — misinformed and Gullible .

Here a German list of the 40 most secure countries for holidays. Austria is #3, Japan #6, Germany #9, Ireland #11, Canada #15, United Kingdom #28, Italy #31, France #33 ... the USA is not on this list at all ... I guess they eat much too many cornflakes there.

I don't buy or sell weapons, alcohol and drugs. So your majority has "to deal" with other people than me personally, weirdo. And by the way: Don't forget to leave the Ukraine with all of your soldiers, Russian. Yesterday! I like to make holidays in the Ukraine and bought a dozen towels to do so. And the money for I make with printings of the famous Russian gladiator Vladimir Putin on toilet paper.

The US needs more guns to make it safer. And grenades and rocket launchers.

The US needs more guns to make it safer. And grenades and rocket launchers.

And nukes over Los Angeles by ignoring intercontinental rockets with Russian nukes. The Marines will be happy to have to attack the USA and not to defend the USA. I can hear their dances of joy throughout the universe.

What an absurd planet. The wrong people are in trouble everywhere and everyone seems only to be any longer a marionette in the hands of the Norns. And in the middle of their puppet strings, the would-be dwarf Donald Trump and the would-be father Russian death Vladimir Putin are scurrying around.

When we hit our children
In the face and on the bottom
Because we can't stand ourselves
I'm sad anyway

When open opinion dies out
No one is against, no one is for
When people only court hypocrisy
I'm sad anyway

When I see myself being spied on
Everywhere and nowhere
No matter where I go
I'm sad anyway

When a friend runs off to the West
Someone smiles gloatingly
And no one trusts the other
I'm sad anyway

When you offer the highest prices
For empty straw
And you rivet your brain
I'm sad anyway

When the ideal is fucked up
And hope doesn't know where
Boredom eats us up
I'm sad anyway

And I think of the poet
Who fled in optimism
Only for friendly faces
I'm sad anyway

When the houses slay us
With the barbed wire level
Tears only at drinking parties
I'm sad anyway

When I think of prison
That of us and elsewhere
All the deserted benches
I'm sad anyway

If I keep singing anyway
I'll take the risk
And my head's already in the noose
I'm sad anyway

Man, as long as we're still laughing
And we don't feel alone
And we can still do something
I can still be sad
Man, as long as we're still laughing
And we don't feel alone
And we can still do something
I can still be sad

How would you support this claim?

How? Austrians are like me. We are the same culture. One of my grandfathers had even been a born Austrian. You are using in the USA by the way an Austrian currency - the Taler - you call it "dollar".
